Common Ground •
Don't
fret if you didn't fulfill your volunteer commitment during
the growing season. You can certainly complete your four hours
of volunteering by helping with membership development and
recruiting. You can also help in other ways and we're always
willing to entertain an unique offer that helps us along our
path of building a food centered community around CSA.
There
are many meetings during the winter and in addition to other
options if you are interested in attending a meeting and representing
our CSA at the meeting let me know. In addition to your attendance,
you would have to provide some type of feedback to the group
about the meeting that might include copies of pertinent literature
and other information.
Also,
if you are aware of an opportunity for membership building
and would like to spearhead, host, coordinate or otherwise
proactively network to help in this area let us know and we'll
work out how that fits with the volunteer time requirement.
Members
who have not met their volunteer time obligation has become
an item of discussion and tension among those who have fulfilled
their obligation. As we continue to grow with a committed
and involved membership, fulfilling your volunteer time obligation
will have a direct impact on your renewal eligibility.
We embrace unique and creative offers to help improve our
CSA along our path towards excellence. Please, don't hesitate
to suggest to us how you would like to volunteer your time.
All offers are considered, and very few have been incompatible
with our goals and mission of building an organic, food-centered
community.
