Thanks to all who brought a friend to distribution this week! It was a great chance to share and many of you did.

WE need some folks to step forward and participate on planning the Fall Harvest Picnic here on farm. We have just a few weeks to prepare. Of course we can just wing it. It seems to go a bit smoother if we plan activities and coordinate participation. I'm not against serendipity, in fact I often embrace it but you have to be willing to accept what happens, or doesn't happen.

I am also looking to recruit at least one person and possibly two from each distribution location to serve as a committee for our CSA Fall Harvest Event here on farm. The week of Sunday October 8th, in other words Week 19, you may opt to pick up your share at the farm on Sunday. Sunday October 8th is our Fall Harvest Event. Monday is the official observance of Columbus Day. It couldn't be the following week which is national boss day. Who thinks these things up?

WE will be working in the morning. Before, during and after lunch we will enjoy each others' company. Any other activities will be at the pleasure of the planning committee. Please step up and help us make this another memorable and delicious event. Lunch will be a surf and turf supplied by Upper Meadows Farm and veggies and other dishes are a pot luck. You may contribute your volunteer time on this day if you come to work, cook, help with events, plan events, and help clean up.
